Bengaluru: A 45-year-old woman passed away at Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru on Monday, September 11, after overdosing on pills prescribed for a headache.
Anusuyamma was the wife of Muneshappa (a labourer) and is said to have been suffering from bouts of prolonged headaches for the past 15 years. After experiencing a severe headache, Anusuyamma consumed 15 pills and fell unconscious on Saturday, September 8.
She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by her daughter and was later moved to Victoria Hospital.
A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Anekal Police Station based on a complaint filed by Anusuyamma’s husband.
