Bengaluru: Police departments all across the country are struggling to keep the people from straying out of their homes aimlessly during the 21-day lockdown. While many turn to the stick, others have been using more unconventional means to spread awareness.

The Bengaluru Police have always managed to outshine other police departments from the way they handle tough situations, to how they come up with creative ways of spreading awareness. One such creative awareness programme has gone viral on social media.

In the video, posted to the Bengaluru Traffic Police’s official Twitter account, a few police officers are seen in the middle of the road enacting a skit. One police officer is making an announcement with a megaphone. There are two officers wearing helmets shaped like the coronavirus dancing in the background. Soon, a helmetless biker) arrives at the scene, after which the two policemen with helmets jump on him. One sits pillion, while the other annoys the biker. He then places his helmet on the biker and the latter rides off with the other policeman as his pillion.

A lengthier version of the skit was uploaded to YouTube:

The video is good for a few laughs, as well as to spread awareness about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) that has taken more than 40 lives in the country.

In Karnataka, 101 people have tested positive for the disease, of which three are dead and five are recovered.
