Bengaluru: Stage is all set for the coronation of HD Kumaraswamy as the new chief minister of Karnataka and several national leaders have been extended invitation for the event. However, it is the BJP leaders of the state who will remain absent during the oath taking, it is said.

As per sources, BJP National Chief Amit Shah has told BJP State President BS Yeddyurappa to boycott the event. It is said that Shah has told the state leadership to remain mute and watch the political development in the state and make sure the MLA of the party remain away from the event.

In sync with the message, state BJP has called for a black ribbon protest condemning the ‘unholy nexus’ between the Congress and the BJP. Accordingly, the protest is likely to take place in all district and taluk centres of the state.

HDK will take oath as the 25th CM of the state at 4.30 pm on Wednesday. While AICC President Rahul Gandhi confirmed his participation in the event through Twitter, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, BSP Supremo Mayawati, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee. UP former CM Akhilesh Yadav, Telangana CM Chandrababu Naidu among others have been invited.

It may be recalled that the Karnataka Assembly poll results brought in a fractured assembly with the BJP emerging as single largest party. However, in turn of event, the Congress and the JD(S) joined hands to form a coalition government while BJP CM candidate B S Yeddyurappa, who was sworn in as CM for mere two days resigned even before facing the floor test.
