Bengaluru: Even though the BJP State In-charge Arun Singh has made clear that there is no proposal to replace CM B. S. Yediyurappa, the party high command, has asked the CM to visit New Delhi at the earliest.
The sources in the BJP State Unit have confirmed that the party high command has summoned BSY to New Delhi. “Reason for the communication is not known,” said a BJP leader.
According to the sources, BJP is likely to replace BSY with a Lingayat strongman by July.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president D. K. Shivakumar also has rushed to New Delhi to meet All India Congress Committee leader Rahul Gandhi. According to Congress sources, his visit to New Delhi is to take permission to revamp the party state unit.
