Bengaluru: The BJP legislature party meeting which was held on Wednesday, September 19 authorized former CM BS Yeddyurappa to take all decisions on forming the new government at the state. Meeting also authorised him to talk to the other party MLAs who are dissatisfied with the style of functioning of the HDK led coalition government.
According to MLAs who were present at the meeting, BSY informed the meeting that around 14 MLAs, mostly Lingayat MLAs are in touch with him and ready to switch over to the party at any time. “Few senior MLAs openly opposed the proposal of Operation Kamala, while the majority of the MLAs favoured such a move,” he added.
“BSY informed the meeting that he is fielding three candidates in the upcoming state legislative council election. This is to ensure that other party MLAs will cross vote to the BJP candidates and humiliate CM HDK,” he said.
