Earlier, the party had decided to hold indefinite protest against K J George demanding his resignation in connection with DySP Ganapati suicide incident.

According to the sources, party state leaders were not too happy with the idea of indefinite period protest saying it was an unilateral decision announced by party state president B S Yeddyurappa. It can be recalled that on September 16, the party had organised state-level protest demanding K J George’s resignation.

According to B S Yeddyurappa, decision to drop the indefinite protest was taken keeping in mind BJP core committee meeting and other election related activities.
