Bengaluru: All the three major political parties of the state i.e. the ruling BJP, opposition Congress and JDS will hold their party leaders meeting today at 11 am separately to finalize the party candidates list for the MLC election.
Voting for the 7 MLC seats will be held on June 29. June 18 is the last date for filing nomination papers.
BJP is expected to bag 4, Congress 2, and JDS 1 seat based on their strength in the state assembly.
BJP and Congress legislative parties will send a list of candidates to party parliamentary committee for approval while in JDS a final decision will be taken by former PM HD Deve Gowda and his son, former CM HD Kumaraswamy.
