Bengaluru: The state BJP leaders displayed a 21,700 pages long document, allegedly, about the illegalities in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) during 2013-14 and challenged the ruling Congress to come for a debate.
BJP Spokesperson Ashwath Narayana said, “We have presented all the documents on 74 scams done in BBMP. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who asks for the document, should answer to these original documents. He himself is like an ATM for their high-command. Though there are many allegations against him, no action has been taken.”
BJP City Unit Spokesperson N R Ramesh said, “We made allegations with documents. If Congress wants, let them fix a date. We will expose the documents in front of the Town Hall and we are ready for an open debate. Even CM Siddaramaiah, K J George and D K Shivakumar have a role here. If my allegations are wrong, why didn’t they file a defamation suit.”
He also said, “I am ready to go through truth tests on this. If they didn’t get any kickbacks, Congress leaders should be ready for the tests.”
Continuing the allegations, he said that the BBMP had mortgaged Kempegowda Museum for Rs 1,430 Crore, not just during BJP rule, but also during the Congress rule. “A loan was taken to build a building like World Trade Centre but nobody knows where it is. Who sold the Maharaja Complex?”, he questioned.
