Bengaluru: Recently retired Director of Department of Information and Public relations of Karnataka, Bhrungeesh N has been appointed as the new media advisor to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. The appointment was announced by a government order that was issued on Wednesday.
It can be recalled that, on November 19, Mahadeva Prakash, a senior journalist quit as media advisor to the Chief Minister, making him the second advisor to the CM who quit the in the past month.
Earlier, the CM’s political advisor M B Maramkal, also a senior journalist, was removed from his post, according to a DH report.
The new media advisor, Bhrungeesh, who had served as media secretary to Yediyurappa when he was CM from 2008-11, also served under 10 Karnataka CMs in various roles in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
With over 30 years of experience in the Information Department, Bhrungeesh was previously the press secretary to two CMs- S M Krishna and N Dharam Singh.
