Bengaluru: With the health care personnel being the most vulnerable to the COVID-19, one of the most important innvoations has been put into use at Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital.

A remote control operated tray is being used in the hospital, which prevents the medical personnel and health care workers from going too close to the COVID-19 patients.

The tray has two shelves fitted with four trays to place necessary items like medicines, water or food. The tray can be navigated close to the patient, who can personally pick the things he/she needs.

Medical Education Minister of Karnataka Dr K Sudhakar tweeted a 31 second video demonstrating the new tray.

He wrote: “This is the technology in covid designated Victoria Hospital to ensure safety of our Doctors & health workers treating Covid patients.”

The number of coronative positive cases has reached 501, including 18 deaths while 177 patients have recovered.
