Bengaluru’s Sankeerthan Sadanand scripts history in NEET

Bengaluru: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) results for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. Sankeerth Sadananda, a student from the city and a student of BASE has created history by securing 4th all India rank in the NEET.

Sankeerth Sadananda has secured 692/700 in the examination with a 99.999633 percentile.

According to CBSE officials, an All India merit list has been prepared in percentile determined on the basis of highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET.

Navdeep Singh, a student from Punjab has secured I rank. “CBSE has provided All India Rank to the candidates. Admitting Authorities will draw merit list based on All India Rank for the seats of MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction,” informed Ms. Rama Sharma, PRO, CBSE.

According to CBSE officials state quota and other seats falling under the ambit of states, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per state rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities. In Karnataka, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is the counseling authority.

The counselling for Private Medical Colleges will also be conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority.

The candidates can access their result on www.cbseneet.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and ww.cbseresults.nic.in. CBSE will also provide NEET rank letters format through DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in/. NEET-2017 result will also be available on “Digilocker” website at http://results.digilocker.gov.in, a CBSE initiative in collaboration with DigiLocker.
