Bengaluru: Traffic congestion has become a major concern in metropolitan cities. The people of the so called ‘Garden City’ opine that the city has transformed into a ‘Vehicle City’ due to no space for the pedestrians to walk.
The scenes from Old Madras Road to Byappanahalli has become even more worse as the footpaths meant for the pedestrians to walk safely amid the hustle bustle, have now transformed into roads. As the signals seem red for a lifetime, the frustrated two-wheeler riders find footpaths as the easy means to escape the long traffic signals. Due to this, pedestrians are in a complete distress as they have no place to even step on.
According to reports, people who go on bikes along this line are techies. Commoners are unhappy with this attitude of such educated bunch of people who have no courtesy or concern regarding the traffic rules.
Now that the issue has reached its breaking point, commoners are demanding stringent action from the traffic police against unlawful riders and make them understand traffic rules.
