Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R Ashok assured that Bengaluru is not set for another lockdown and we have not got any proposal in this regard.

He was speaking to media persons on Sunday April 18 here allaying fears posed by the citizens of another lockdown.

However, he said that the government has been advised by the Covid experts that tough rules should be put in place. However, keeping in mind the common men’s woes, the government will decide on Monday April 19 under the leadership of Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa on whether to implement tough measures or not, he stressed.

Clearing the air on why he is heading tomorrow’s meeting, the minister said that the meeting is headed by him due to the absence of the CM and he is only representing the CM at the meet as he is the vice-chairman of Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority.
