Bengaluru: Hours after Bengaluru South MP Tejaswi Surya exposed a bed blocking scam, the CCB police arrested two persons in connection with the bed blocking racket in the city.
The arrested are Netravati (42) a self-claimed social activist and her 32-year-old friend. The CCB police unblocked two beds blocked by them in the private hospitals.
According to the initial findings, Netravati had formed several whats app groups in the disguise of helping the people. She was cheating those who were putting ICU bed requirements in the group.
The police collected her bank statements. Police suspect the hand of many people in this racket.
Meanwhile city police commissioner Kamal Pant has handed over the bed blocking scam to CCB.
