Bengaluru: BBMP commissioner BH Anil Kumar has written to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) seeking 5,000 of litres of milk per day for stray dogs.
According to an estimation done by the BBMP, presently, over 3 lakh stray dogs are present in the city and among them, around 25,000 dogs are feed by NGOs and volunteers.
To feed the rest of the dogs, the BBMP has sought milk from the KMF.
According to sources, the KMF is likely to forward the BBMP’s request to the state government. “This demand can be fulfilled only if the state government issues an order,” explained the KMF authorities.
