Bengaluru: With the idea of saving the city from the Covid 19-second wave, the BBMP decided to ramp up its vaccination capacity from Sunday.
As per the plan, BBMP is planning to vaccinate 50,000 persons per day.
300 vaccination centers are identified for the vaccination.
Those who are above the age of 60 years and those in the age bracket of 45-60 years with comorbidities are eligible for vaccination.
“There is no vaccine shortage. Human infrastructure is also available. People are coming in the huge number for the vaccination,” explained N Manjunath Prasad, BBMP commissioner.
The state government which is fearing a surge in the Covid 19 cases in March and April is imposing strict Covid 19 guidelines to ensure that there will not be another crisis in the state.
