bbmp M 1172020Bengaluru: BBMP Special Commissioner D Randeep served notice to 46 hospitals in the city for declining beds for the COVID-19 patients. These patients were allocated beds by the BBMP through a localised bed allotment system.

According to the sources, these notices are issued after city police shared information about the complaint they received on denial of beds.

The private hospitals are declining to honor their understanding with the BBMP and the state government on treating the Covid 19 patients.

The BBMP and the state government directed these hospitals to reserve 50% of their beds to the patients referred by them. However, hospitals are not honoring this direction.
