Bengaluru: The BBMP has sent a proposal for Rs 4,611 crores to the state government seeking financial allocation in the state budget, which will be presented by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
According to the proposal, Rs 2,918 crores has been sought for the road repair, upgradation and construction of new roads in the city limits. As much as Rs 242.74 crores has also been sought for the implementation of the projects handed over by the Bangalore Development Authority.
Rajakaluve repair (Rs 600 crores), white topping (Rs 600 crores), solid waste management (Rs 500 crores) and park management (Rs 312 crores) are some of the major proposals sent by the BBMP to the state government.
Mayor Gangambike has informed that, as state government’s support is required for the city development, this proposal has been sent to them for budgetary allocation.
