Bengaluru: The menace of cats has increased in the Raj Bhavan. The BBMP in a drive to control the cats has finalized Rs.98 thousand tender to catch the cats.
There are more than 30 cats in the Raj Bhavan. These cats have become a nuisance in the vicinity of Raj Bhavan. The cost of catching one cat would be around Rs.3,000. So far the BBMP was calling tenders for catching dogs, rats and pigs. Tender for catching cats is called for the first time.
The Senior Horticulture Director of the Raj Bhavan had appealed to the Joint Director(Animal welfare) of BBMP in December last year to relocate the cats.
Based on this appeal the BBMP has decided to catch and relocate the cats.
