Bengaluru: After an FIR was registered at Nagarabhavi police station on the findings that marks obtained by the students were changed at the time of digital evaluation, the Bangalore University has decided to hand over the case to CID.
A decision in this regard was taken in the university syndicate meeting.
Earlier, the University registrar K Jyothi, an IAS officer lodged a complaint with the Nagarabhavi police complaining that in the digital evaluation, insiders and the staff had resorted to changing the marks obtained by the students.
According to the sources, the same has been going on over the last few years and some vested interests have made crores of rupees in the scam.
During the university syndicate meeting, members raised the issue and urged the authorities to recommend CID investigation.
They expressed fear that this scam is a mutli-crores scam.
