Bengaluru/New Delhi: During a press meet in New Delhi recently, Minister of State for AYUSH and Goa’s Lok Sabha MP Shripad Naik claimed that Dr Isaac Mathai had cured Prince Charles through the use of Ayurveda and Homeopathy.

According to reports, Naik said during the presser, that Dr Isaac Mathai, who runs the Soukya Ayurveda Resort in Bengaluru, called him and informed him of this development. “This is just one example of how the system can work,” he had said.

These claims were rubbished by Prince Charles’ spokesperson when contacted by The Indian Express.

TIE quoted Ella Lynch as saying, “This information is incorrect. The Prince of Wales followed the medical advice of the NHS (National Health Service) in the UK and nothing more.”

When contacted by TNM, Dr Mathai said that the Prince of Wales is one of his patients and that he could not comment on the issue or his patients’ health conditions as it is a matter of confidentiality.

In 2019, the Prince’s wife, Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles received treatment at Dr Mathai’s Soukya Ayurvedic Centre.

It can be recalled that, just a week after it was announced that the Prince of Wales had tested positive for COVID-19, it was declared that he had recovered. During the illness, it is said that the Prince displayed mild symptoms.
