Bengaluru: The Bengaluru police who are investigating the audiogate incident in which it alleged phone conversations of various top brass police officials have been recorded, will be submitting a report on the controversy to the state police chief Nilamani Raju, today. The report is expected to create a flutter in the state police circles and the political parties.
Senior IPS officer Sandeep Patil led team is investigating the alleged instances of mobile phone tapping.
According to the sources, mobile phones of over 750 persons were allegedly tapped in the last few months in the pretext of the investigation of various scandals and scams. "Several senior police officers expressed fear that their mobile phones also may have been tapped. So, the report is expected to create a flutter," said sources in the police department.
