Bengaluru: A new documentary narrated by renowned natural historian David Attenborough titled “Wild Karnataka” will be released on Friday, January 17. Directed by Amoghavarsha JS and Kalyan Varma, this will be the first-ever nature documentary to be released in theatres across India.
Wildlife enthusiasts are equally enthralled by the release of the documentary across PVR theatres in over eight cities. The 53-minute-long documentary will feature Karnataka’s rich bio-diversity, according to a report by DHNS. Its premier, held on Wednesday, January 15, was a huge success as the audience gave it a well-deserved standing ovation.
“Wild Karnataka” is said to be a collection of footage recorded over four years by as many as 20 camera persons. The background music has been scored by Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej.
The filmmakers reportedly used drones and other sophisticated equipment to capture a wide array of species native to the state. “Wild Karnataka” also captures the state’s breath-taking landscapes such as the evergreen forests of the Western Ghats.
Sources say that a Kannada version of the documentary, narrated by Rishab Shetty, will be released as well.
