Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha, a special court for people’s representatives in the city issued an arrest warrant against him for failing to turn up for the hearing in connection with the defamation case lodged by actor, activist Prakash Raj.
The court directed Mysuru city police commissioner KT Balakrishna to execute the order. The police need to produce the MP before the court on or before March 19.
Raj has lodged a defamation suit against Simha for allegedly racking up his personal issues when he raised voice against the murder of Gauri Lankesh and the fascist forces across the country.
