Bengaluru: The last project discussed by the union minister Ananth Kumar who passed away in the early hours of Monday, was a principle approval for a cancer hospital in Hubballi. He was able to secure approval from the union health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda for this project.

Speaking to the reporters in the city, Hubballi Dharwad MP, former BJP state unit president Prahlad Joshi informed that five months ago when he met Ananth Kumar, he discussed the project at the office of health minister JP Nadda. “Nadda gave in-principle approval. As my mother also died due to cancer, Ananth Kumar informed that we need to develop a cancer hospital to provide quality health care for the poor,” he recalled the conversation.

“The project will be taken forward, which will be our tribute to the leader,” he said.
