Bengaluru: The State Higher Education Department has proposed a uniform calendar of events and fee structure for all the courses in all the state universities.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the State Higher Education Department and State Higher Education Council on Thursday, January 24.
In the meeting, it was decided to allow the State Higher Education Council to prepare an annual academic calendar which will be applicable for all the state universities. This includes university opening, examination, valuation, publication of results etc. “It will be applicable to all the courses from the under graduate to the doctorate,” informed a senior officer from the higher education department.
“Another important decision taken at the meeting was to introduce uniform fee structure for all the universities. Presently different universities have a different fee structure. To ensure that all the students get higher education at the same cost, it was decided to implement uniform fee structure,” he explained.
