Bengaluru: The warring political parties of Uttar Pradesh- Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party are likely to bury the hatchet for the run up to the 2019 polls. If sources are to be believed then there are possibilities of SP National President Akhilesh Yadav and BSP Supremo Mayawati sharing the dais during the swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
This is believed to be the first time that the two political heavyweights would be sharing a public platform.
Karnataka’s chief minister-elect Kumarswamy of Janata Dal (Secular) on Saturday night said that he had sent invitations to Mayawati and Akhilesh along with other regional party heads, including Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Telangana CM K Chandrashekara Rao and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.
It is said that a senior SP leader has already confirmed participation of Akhilesh in the event.
