Bengaluru: AICC state in-charge K C Venugopal has become a big headache for the state Congress leaders who are known for their laziness in party organisational works.
According to the sources in KPCC, party senior leaders are not very happy with K C Venugopal who is holding regular party meetings since assuming office. K C Venugopal’s marathon meetings, efforts to revive party from block level has forced the party senior leaders to change their old style of politics.
According to the sources, K C Venugopal has called for a day-long meeting on Friday of party Bengaluru city unit leaders. “He is young and workaholic. He wants all MLAs of city and defeated candidates of 2013 elections to attend the meeting and wants them to present their idea about winning a majority of seats. Everyone needs to make presentation,” said party city unit sources.
Meanwhile, K C Venugopal also decided to change presidents of atleast three district units who failed to organise party at booth level. “Bengaluru Urban DCC president S T Somasekhar is also under the radar. Party wants an acceptable face who can infuse fresh energy into party city unit,” said sources.
