Bengaluru: A week after JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda’s announcement that he is leaving Hassan Lok Sabha constituency for his grandson Prajwal Revanna in the upcoming general election, his another grandson Nikhil-son of CM H D Kumaraswamy and MLA Anita Kumaraswamy has announced that he too is ready to plunge into electoral politics from Mandya, which is a strong Vokkaliga belt.
Speaking to the reporters at K M Doddi in Maddur, on Friday night, he stated that he is under pressure from the people from Mandya to contest.
“I was not ready, but voters from Mandya are pressurising me to contest in the election. Keeping their love and affection in mind I have decided to contest, provided seniors agree,” he said.
“But final decision in this regard will be taken by H D Deve Gowda and CM H D Kumaraswamy,” he said.
