Bengaluru: A few MLAs had expressed their disappointment over the portfolio that was given to them by the Chief Minister.
Following this, a re-shuffle was done on Tuesday so as to accommodate the demands of the rebel MLAs who quit their own parties and joined the BJP recently.
After this episode, it is believed that Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is now facing a peculiar problem with one MLA creating noise over the office room allotted to him.
MLA BC Patil was one of the rebels who was not happy with the portfolio that was earlier given to him.
He had got Forest Ministry, which had left him unhappy. He wanted Agriculture ministry and he made sure he got the same, after having talks with the CM.
Now, it is said that Patil is unhappy with the office space that has been given to him.
As per sources, Agriculture Ministry office is a spacious setup in the Vikas Soudha building. This very fact has left Patil angry because he feels that having an office in Vidhana Soudha carries more respect as against an office in Vikas Soudha.
Sources say that Patil had a stroll around Vidhana Soudha couple of days ago and decided that he should get an office on third floor of Vidhana Soudha as he believes that having an office on the third floor can pave way for better contact with the media personnel.
Sources claim that Patil has already started pressurising the Department of Personnel and Administrative services to make sure that his demand of an office premises of his choice is met.
One may have to wait and watch if BSY will agree to this demand of the rebel or not.
