After assurance from the state government doctors on contract decide not to resign

Bengaluru: After an assurance from the state government that it will regularise the services by providing grace marks at the time of the KPSC recruitment drive, the 507 doctors on contract have decided to continue in the service.

Earlier they had warned that they will not turn up for duty from July 8.

An announcement in this regard was jointly made by medical education minister Dr K Sudhakar and health minister B Sreeramulu.

Both the ministers also announced a hike of Rs.15,000 salary for these doctors on contract. The ministers held a joint press conference said that COVID 19 has not reached the community spread stage. “It is still at stage 2,” they said.

On the demands of the ASHA workers, they assured they wil hold discussions with the CM
