Bengaluru: After spending 82 days in prison, Sandalwood actress Sanjjanaa Galrani walked out late on Friday late evening. She finally got bail in connection with a drug peddling case related to the Kannada film industry.
It can be recalled that the actress was arrested on September 9 for her alleged involvement in the infamous Sandalwood drug peddling racket. Her residence was raided by the CCB on September 8 and few important documents were seized.
The Karnataka High Court granted the actress conditional bail on Friday on a personal bond of Rs 3 lakhs. Sanjjanaa will also have to mark her attendance on a bi-monthly basis and cooperate with the investigation.
When she was released on bail, her parents and family members arrived to complete the formalities.
Earlier, she had undergone a medical checkup at the Bowring hospital as she had sought bail on the medical grounds.
Another actress, Ragini Dwivedi, who was arrested in the same case, is still in prison.
