Bengaluru: Now, after Shurthi Hariharan, Sangeetha Bhat and Sanjana, Neethu has raised her voice to speak about the #MeToo issues in the Kannada film industry. In a video recording, Neethu alleged that she underwent several unpleasant instances in her 13-year-long career in Sandalwood.
“I am supporting the #MeToo movement unconditionally. I will extend my support to Shurthi Hariharan and Sangeetha Bhat. I also underwent difficult situations due to the MeToo problem in Sandalwood,” she said.
“Taking advantage of the film shooting is not professional. Consent should not be restricted only to sex. Consent of the actors is very important while taking other decisions too. I hope people will understand this,” she stated in the video message.
