Bengaluru: Nearly a week after the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided on the residences of Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board chief officer TR Swamy and Bengaluru Development Authority engineer NG Gowdaiah and uncovered properties worth of several hundred crores, the state government finally suspended both from the government services pending inquiry.
According to the sources, the ACB requested the state government to keep both the officials under the suspension till the probe is completed. Based on the request, the state Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms issued suspension orders.
According to the ACB sources, it had received tens of emails, calls from unknown persons sharing the details of unaccounted property and valuables of both the officers. “Inquiry will continue for few more days,” said officers.
