Bengaluru: The officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) interrogated backward classes welfare minister, Chamarajanagar MLA Puttaranga Shetty for over six hours in connection with the seizure of Rs. 25.76 lakhs from one of his office assistants in January 2019.
It can be recalled that on January 4, this money was seized from the bag of one SJ Mohan Kumar, an employee with the minister’s office by the Vidhana Soudha police. Later, the case was transferred to the CCB for further investigation.
According to the sources, the ACB grilled the minister for over six hours on Wednesday and collected details. Even though Shetty denied his involvement in the case, the ACB is expected to name him in the final charge sheet, which expected to be filed after the Lok Sabha election results.
