Bengaluru: Even though central and state governments are vehemently denying the news reports that Aadhar will be made compulsory soon for all land registration, in reality, both the governments are working in tandem in this regard. If sources in the state revenue and department of stamps and land registrations are to be believed then in next few days Aadhar will be made compulsory for all land records in the state.
Highly-placed sources in the government informed Newskarnataka that to stop all the benami registrations, the state government is considering making Aadhar mandatory for all the land registrations. “There is some opposition for this from a section. But soon, state government is expected to issue a notification in this regard,” explained sources.
“Presently there are arguments that black money is routed to real estate sector especially in Bengaluru. Once Aadhar is made mandatory for land registration it is easy to track the real beneficiaries,” sources informed adding that they are waiting an advisory from the union government.
