Bengaluru: 500 high-end bikes bought by the Bengaluru police, having modern facilities like first aid kit etc, have been left unused for the last two months as Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and home minister and Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar have not had time to hand them over to the police.

According to city police sources, these bikes were bought two months ago and have been kept at the CAR grounds of the city. “Since the last two months, the city police have been trying to finalize the inauguration dates. They are unable to get either the CM or the DCM for a single day. Both leaders are in Bengaluru itself. As a result, they are now covered in dust in the open space,” informed sources.

“Once the bikes are inaugurated, they will be distributed to the stations. It will help the police respond quickly to any law and order problem. But the politicians don’t understand them,” informed sources.
