Bengaluru: When the Congress and JD(S) leadership are fighting to put out the fires caused by the alleged ‘Operation Kamala’ in the state Assembly, the BJP silently launched their operation even in the BBMP.
According to sources in the BBMP, around 30 corporators from the JD(S) and Congress are expected to jump ship soon.
“The BBMP mayoral and deputy mayoral elections are scheduled to be held in September. The BJP is planning to capture power here. So the efforts are on to woo the corporators,” informed a BJP leader.
“In the BBMP monthly meeting held on Wednesday, this issue was predominantly discussed. Several corporators, who are sensing a change in the state government, are approaching the BJP,” he explained.
