2,738 cases take K’taka COVID tally to 41,581; 73 deaths take toll to 757

Bengaluru: The state reported 2,728 new COVID-19 cases and 73 deaths on Monday, July 13. This brings the total number of confirmed novel coronavirus infections to 41,581 and death toll to 757.

Bengaluru Urban reported 1,315 cases and Yadagiri reported 162 new cases.

Meanwhile, 839 people were discharged after making a full recovery from the disease. However, 545 people are being treated in ICUs across the state.

The breakup of the fresh cases are: Mysuru (151), Dakshina Kannada (131), Ballari (106), Kalaburagi (89), Vijayapura (86), Shivamogga (74), Dharwad (71), Udupi (53), Tumakuru (48), Raichur (45), Davanagere (45), Chikkaballapura (42), Uttara Kannada (37), Bagalkot (37), Koppala (31), Mandya (30), Kodagu (29), Belagavi (27), Hassan (25), Bidar (23), Bengaluru Rural (21), Kolar (21), Chikkamagaluru (10), Chamarajanagara (9), Chitradurga (8), Gadag (6), and Haveri (6).

There are 24,572 active COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, a total of 16,248 have been discharged. Additionally, four people have died of non-COVID causes.

Meanwhile, some districts in the state will be going into complete lockdown as per the discretion of the local administrations.
