25 startups to present ideas to investors

Bengaluru: Over 25 entrepreneurs nurtured by the internationally reputed Startup Leadership Program (SLP) will present their ideas to the investor community seeking early stage investment during ‘Uprise,’ the high-profile investor pitching event on March 25, 2017, in Bangalore.The event, which is the annual Demo Day for SLP Fellows, a highly selective, world-class training program for outstanding founders, leaders, and innovators, will be held at Gregg W. Steinhafel Center, Manyata Embassy Business Park.

More than 50 angel investors and venture capital firms will participate in ‘Uprise’ to judge the best entrepreneurial ideas to make investments.

The event will have a line-up of well-known investors including Ajay Goel, Managing Partner, Crestlight Ventures, Archana Priyadarshini, Venture Partner, Unicorn India Ventures, Nirmal Bhardwaj, Founder & CEO, Bengaluru Angels, Bharti Jacob, Partner, Seedfund, Sunil Rao, Partner, Lightspeed Ventures, Ravi Thakur, Partner, Startup Xseed and Pradeep Kamasani of Hyderabad Angels.

The last year’s edition of ‘Uprise’ saw reputed names like Matrix Partners, Accel Partners, Kalaari Capital, SAIF Partners, Sequoia, IDG, NVP, Indian Angel Network, Mumbai Angels, Axilor, Google, and Redbus representing the angel investors, VCs, corporates and accelerators fraternities.

To name a few, some of the startups that will seek early-stage VC or angel funding during this year’s event are: Anthill Creations, DoctorSpring, Faveo Helpdesk, Healthkhoj, ImpliedX Productions, liradolf, Metrimap, neoEyed, Nucarbn, Ojas Testing, Ploud IO, ScratchKaro, Secondcry, SevenProsper, Shopsup, Stide.AI, SurgeryXchange, VR4Learnings, and XOBIN.

They will make their best pitch forward and compete intensely to convince the investor community. The current SLP cohorts run nearly 30 startups across various verticals including FinTech, IoT, EduTech, Consumer Internet, Healthcare, Social, Deep Technology among others.
