Bengaluru: Vidhana Soudha police have summoned 23 assistant professors who had got job in the government first grade colleges by furnishing fake marks PhD/ Mphil to the selection authority- the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) officers had lodged complaint in this regard with the Vidhana Soudha police.
According to the sources, in February this year 2,034 assistant professors were selected through competitive examination and at the time of selection these candidates had allegedly submitted fake MPhil/ PhD certificates to get the job. All of them had secured jobs through these fake marks cards. As this fake documents were detected at the time of document verification now an FIR has been registered by the police.
Cases were registered under the IPC sections 420, 468 and 465.
