Bengaluru: In a first of its kind reshuffle in the history of City Police, 999 Head Constables, 561 Constables, 130 Assistsnt Sub Inspectors, and 127 Police Sub Inspectors have been transferred within the City Police limits.
These personnel and officers were serving at the same police station for years together. City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant has issued an order in this regard.
According to the sources, many of these officers and personnel were so influential that they continued to serve in the same police station even after their transfer by getting deputation orders.
With the idea of making the policing system more transparent, a decision in this regard has been taken by the City Police Commissioner.
Meanwhile, 126 officers have been promoted from ASI to PSI post. 281 head constables have been promoted to ASI post while 436 Constables have been promoted as Head Constables.
