Bengaluru: After 12 days of treatment in the Bengaluru rural district, a 110-year-old woman recovered from Covid – 19. She is the country’s oldest person to recover from the Covid – 19 following the second wave’s breakout.
Akkayyamma, a resident of Bullahalli village in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru rural was hospitalised for 12 days. According to taluk health officer Dr. Sanjay, when she was brought to the hospital, her oxygen level was 89. She was discharged on Wednesday June 2 after her oxygen level shot up to 99%.
She was living alone, according to the authorities, and a local neighbour named Rajappa admitted her to the hospital when she was found to be very weak to the Devanahalli hospital.
