Bengaluru: As many as 11 IPS officers, including Dakshina Kannada SP B R Ravikanthe Gowda, have been transferred with a promotion. The promotion and transfer orders were issued on Monday evening.
B R Ravikanthe Gowda is a 2005 cadre officer who has now been promoted as the DIG of police. He has been transferred to Bengaluru to the fire and emergency services department.
B M Lakshmi Prasad, a 2014 cadre officer who was SP of the Internal Security Division, has been transferred as the new SP of the Dakshina Kannada district. Prasad was serving in the counter-terrorism wing of the internal security division.
