Three more from Bagalkot test positive for COVID-19; State’s tally now 523

Bagalkot: As many as three more people from the Bagalkot district tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Tuesday, April 28 evening.

According to the state health department’s bulletin, one is a 20-year-old woman, one is an 11-year-old boy and the other is a 22-year-old man. They all hail from Jamakhandi in the Bagalkot district.

The bulletin adds that the woman and man are contacts of Patient 381, while the pre-teen boy is a secondary contact of Patient 456.

Bagalkot now has a total of 29 COVID-19 cases, of which one is dead and six are discharges.

Karnataka’s total COVID-19 cases has now risen to 523, out of which 20 are deaths and 207 are discharges. It can also be noted that a COVID-19 patient, who was being treated at a hospital in Bengaluru, took his own life.
