Three from Badami, one from Dharwad test COVID-19 positive; Tally rises to 705

Badami: As many as four more people tested positive for COVID-19 between 12 PM and 5 PM on Thursday, May 7. The total number of confirmed cases in the state has risen to 705.

Earlier in the day, eight cases, including one death, were reported from the state.

Of the four new cases reported in the evening, three are from Badami in Bagalkot and one is from the Dharwad district.

The three from Badami are all women ranging from ages 19 to 55 and are contacts of Patient 607.

The case from Dharwad is a 35-year-old man who has been diagnosed with an influenza-like illness.

Of the 705 total cases reported from the state, 30 are deaths, one is a non-COVID-19 caused death and 366 are discharges.
