Bagalkot: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Vice President S G Nanjaiahnamutta accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, here on Tuesday, April 9 of helping the business tycoons in Rafale Deal and their loan waiver.

He said that the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was supposed to procure the deal to produce Rafale fighter jets but it was given to Reliance Company.

“PM Modi has given a tender to Anil Ambani instead of HAL. Anil Ambani’s company has no experience or knowledge of defence-related production”, he said.

“The deal shift from HAL to Reliance shows that, PM Modi is not the ‘Chowkidar’ of the country but of Ambani and other business tycoons’ companies”, he added.

He questioned the Modi led-National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, “Why did he not take action on fugitives Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya, when they had looted the Indian banks? Where was the ‘Chowkidar’ when it came to light that some of the documents related to Rafale Deal went missing?”

In terms of 15 Lakhs in every individual’s account and farmers’ loan waiver, he said, “The promises that PM Modi had made, of depositing Rs 15 Lakh in every individual’s account after the black money was back and waiving off crop loans, have been false.”

“Modi’s mesmerising speech will not work anymore as the people of this country have understood his loyalty towards the corporates”, he added.

Meanwhile, Nanjaiahnamutta requested the Congress and Janata Dal (S) party workers and also the voters to ensure the victory of Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate from Bagalkot Lok Sabha constituency, Veena Kashappanavar.
