After HDK, Siddaramaiah asks people why they vote for BJP

Badami: A day after Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy lost his calm and asked the people not to come to him with their woes when they voted for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former CM Siddaramaiah too ended up following the same path.

“People come to us with their work, but in the end, they vote for the BJP. I don’t understand why people support the BJP even when the truth is that they neither do work nor do they have any concern for the people,” said Siddaramaiah, while speaking to villagers of Alur S K, near Badami, after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a new village panchayat building.

“I thought at least in my constituency, my party would get the lead, but the people of Badami gave a lead of 9,000 to the BJP. I don’t know on what basis people vote for the BJP, whose MPs are hardly available. It is we who are giving rice, clothes, milk, textbooks for students, water to farmers and have started many schemes for Below Poverty Line families, yet people don’t vote for us,” Siddaramaiah is quoted in TNIE.
