Bagalkot: The mutilated body of a four-year-old boy was recently found at Bundagani village in the Rabakavi Banahatti taluk of the Bagalkote district.
The victim has been identified as Muthappa Amajogola. Reportedly, the killers had chopped off his genitals, and had even made away with an earring and Taweez (Urku – an ornament worn around the arms or neck after performing religious rituals) that belonged to him.
The parents of the victim have alleged that their son was sacrificed in the quest for hidden treasure. The Banahatti police rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. It is learnt that they have detained a suspect for questioning.
