The launch of the Aprilia Tuono 457 has raised expectations for the brand’s next big offering—the Tuareg 457. Among the most excited is Bollywood actor and Aprilia’s brand ambassador, John Abraham, who is eager to see the adventure motorcycle hit Indian roads.

At the Tuono 457 launch, Abraham expressed his strong desire for the Tuareg 457’s arrival, citing the global surge in mid-size adventure bike popularity. However, Aprilia’s CEO and Managing Director, Diego Graffi, made it clear that the company’s priority remains the RS457 and Tuono 457. He emphasized that Aprilia is taking a global approach, and these two models ensure quicker returns on investment.

Both motorcycles are developed from scratch, with extensive investment in the chassis and engine. Manufactured in India for international markets, they share many components, making production efficient. The Tuareg 457, on the other hand, would require chassis modifications, which are not currently a focus for Aprilia.

Though a Tuareg 457 prototype was spotted during testing, it appeared to be a motorsport-specific build. The adventure motorcycle, expected to rival the KTM 390 Adventure, will require a sturdier frame. However, its existing large rear sprocket setup hints at strong off-road potential whenever it finally arrives.

For now, adventure bike enthusiasts—John Abraham included—will have to wait.
